Every semester, about 400 Illinois graduate students and almost 300 undergraduate students conduct research at the Beckman Institute. It's a great place to learn about how scientific research works, explore your curiosities, and contribute to incredible new discoveries at the cutting edge of science and technology.

- Browse information about our research themes and groups. What looks interesting to you?
- Get in touch. Contact information for faculty members in Beckman's groups are linked on each group page. Many labs also have their own websites that list contact information.
- Take advantage of other resources, including your home unit's advisors or the Office of Undergraduate Research.
Become a graduate student researcher
Many graduate students conducting research at the Beckman Institute are doing so alongside their graduate advisers. See the Graduate College's website for information about applying to the University of Illinois' graduate programs, a full list of programs, and information about funding.
